Website
The pages you're browsing right now — the tool forms, format reference, and everything else that isn't the actual download. Hosted separately from the resolver by design.
Media resolver
A separate service that talks to Instagram's CDN and streams files back through a signed, temporary link. Almost every real failure — a broken link, a rate limit, an unsupported content type — comes from this side, not the website.
If a tool shows "The resolver couldn't process that link," that's the resolver reporting a problem — most often Instagram rate-limiting a burst of requests, which normally clears within a few minutes.
